Serving guests since 2001, River Tavern is located in the cozy town center of Chester, Connecticut. Working with local farms, fishermen and cheese mongers, River Tavern takes great pride in serving innovative farm fresh cuisine in an inviting modern atmosphere. We are proud to be members of and counted among the early organizers of the Department of Agriculture's Farm-to-Chef program.
Staying true to the ingredients, our menu changes daily focusing on the current harvest of Connecticut purveyors and preparing them simply and thoughtfully. Our cocktail, beer and wine menus change often and are influenced by our current menu and the changing seasons.
