Ruth's Chris Steak House specializes in serving aged USDA Prime steaks, broiled in a trademark 1800-degree oven and served on a plate heated to 500 degrees
Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operating for 38 years prior. She changed the name to "Ruth's" Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are over 150 Ruth's Chris Steak House locations across the globe, including a recently opened restaurant in Jakarta.As part of our commitment to you, the fans, we'll do our best to ensure the postings on our fan page are in line with the Ruth's Chris Steak House legacy.
